- Must be United States Citizen.
- Must be 21 to 35 years of age. (Military Veterans have extensions per state law)
- Must possess High School Diploma or GED.
- No felony convictions.
- Must possess a valid driver's license.

NEW HIRE TESTING
The Lincoln Police Department will be conducting testing for the position of police officer. The orientation will be held on August 8th, 2015 at 10:00 AM. The orientation will take place at the Lincoln Park District, 1400 Primm Rd., Lincoln, IL. The current new hire list expires September 13, 2015.
Attendance at the orientation is mandatory.
Further testing information and applications will be given at the orientation. This is for a new hire list and not a lateral entry list, see below for lateral information.
Preliminary Testing Dates:
August 15, 2015 at 9:00 AM - Physical at Lincoln Community High School (1000 Primm Rd/1 Railer Way)
August 15, 2015 at 2:00 PM - Written Test at Lincoln Park District (1400 Primm Rd)
August 22, 2015 at 10:00 AM - Oral Interviews

Lateral Entry - If you are currently employed by another law enforcement agency inside of Illinois for the past 3 years, you may qualify for Lateral Entry. You can complete an application and submit it to the Lincoln Police Department. The current Lateral Police Test expired May 13, 2016.
