With community partnership as our foundation we will strive to enhance the quality of life and create a stronger contract between the police and the community we serve.     The following sections are dedicated in helping you as a citizen be more secure in your home, business, and vehicle. We give tips and recommendations on securing your items from those would be criminals that prey on others and take advantage of easy opportunities which can scar victims for life.

    Business - Here we give you information on security alarms and what you should know before setting a security alarm up on your business.

    Home - Here we give you information on home security alarms and setting up a Neighborhood Watch program.

    Vehicle - What you should know about vehicle security alarms and ways to protect your valuables without a security alarm.

Missing Child Alerts

The Lincoln Police Department has partnered with A Child Is Missing program.  This system utilizes home phone numbers, cell phone numbers, email addresses, and even Facebook updates.  The program works best if you signup online with their website for alerts.  Your information is kept private and is only used for alerts.

The Lincoln Police Department now utilizes Appriss for collecting traffic crash information and submitting to the State of Illinois. Appriss provides for those involved with the crash to receive copies of reports.

Please visit if you need a copy of your accident report.

Freedom of Information Act

The Lincoln Police Department reponds to all Freedom of Information Act (FOIA) requests.  In doing so we retain the right under Illinois State Law to maintain the privacy of individuals.
