On Monday, September 2, 2006, the Lincoln Police Department was notified of a shooting that occurred at an apartment complex at 2350 Railsplitter Ave.

Witnesses advised Police that three black male subjects were involved in the shooting which one subject was later found in the 1300 block of Airport Rd, Lincoln, IL, with a gun shot wound.  This subject along with another victim were taken to hospitals and are in stable condition.

Lincoln Police investigators do not believe that this crime was random and the victims and suspects possibly know each other.
