The City of Lincoln on July 20, 2015, authorized the Lincoln Police Department to provide services to businesses or organizations that would like to have a uniformed police officer present for an event or to provide security.
Effective September 1, 2015, the current rate is $47.00 per hour. There is a two hour minimum per officer requested. If you have a request for more than five officers, then the event must have a supervisor present.
If you would like these police services, please complete the Agreement for Special Police Services below. This form must be submitted to and signed at the Lincoln Police Department at 911 Pekin St, Lincoln, IL, 62656. Please attach a list for the agreement outlining the dates and times and how many officers are requested during the times. Please also dictate in the list what the officers will be requested to do and any special instructions. It is also necessary to estimate the number of people in attendance. If the Chief or Deputy Chief of Police feel that the number requested would not safely satisfy the amount of people attending the event then the request may not be approved for the safety of the officers.
All requests must be approved by the Chief of Police.
