Emergency Response Team
The Emergency Response Team is composed of 11 Lincoln Police Officers. These officers have advanced training and specialize in special tactics and weapons.
The Emergency Response Team trains monthly learning new tactics and maintaining their proficiency in current tactics.
Our training consists of residential room clearing, school rapid deployments, large facility room clearing, vehicle clearing, weapons, less lethal weapons, and other advanced techniques.
The team is prepared for a terrorist incident with training on breathing apparatuses and biochemical suits. This training was also incorporated into raiding Methanphetamine labs.
The Emergency Response Team is currently ready for a major incident. However we hope that we are never needed.
